Hi! I am the blogger and photographer here at Backyard Owl. I’m a Registered Holistic Nutritionist (R.H.N.), and I love coming up with healthy, delicious, nutrient-dense recipes. I believe we all feel our best when our food choices support our bodies and bring us joy.

In addition to being an R.H.N, my current identities include researcher, reader of historical fiction and romance novels, occasional knitter, summer-time cycler, piano tinkler, doting cat owner, visionary gardener, and scheming kitchen experimenter.

I like finding the right words to express what I want to say, capturing something beautiful with my camera, reading in my chair with a mug of tea, and doing my best to remember that the life that feels best is one that is mindful, purposeful, pleasurable, delicious, and filled with love and gratitude.
